1st World Consensus Meeting on Bariatric Metabolic Surgery Standardization
A World Consensus Meeting on Standardization of Bariatric Metabolic Procedures is scheduled for March 22-24, 2018 in New Delhi, India. The meeting sponsored by the Mohak Training Foundation is organized by Dr. Mal Fobi and Dr. Mohit Bhandari, both Clinical Professors at SAIMS and Bariatric Metabolic Surgeons at Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics Surgery Centre (MBRSSC) in Indore, India. An advisory committee made of Dr. Eric DeMaria, Dr. Natan Zundel, Dr. Pradeep Chowbey, Dr. Kamal Mahawar, and Dr. Abdelrahman Nimeri, Dr. John Dixon and Dr. David Cummings are working with the organizers to host this congress.
Who we are
Mohak Bariatrics & Robotics
Center par excellence which is dedicated to minimal access, bariatric metabolic surgery. It has world class infrastructure, highly equipped intelligent operation theatres with HD Endovision and last but not the least a multidisciplinary team that cares for its patients.
In a very short span of time, the centre and team have done 8000+ minimal access bariatric surgeries using various procedures and is consistently doing 1000+ surgeries every year. All the procedures performed at MBRSC, are as per protocol, standardized and guided by an algorithm for patient selection for the various procedures.

Addressing the need of the hour
This World Consensus Meeting is planned to identify and standardize characteristics of each operation or procedure that contribute to its effectiveness.
Innovators and eminent proponents have been invited to present standard characteristics of the various operations and procedures. Invited leading opinion experts in bariatric metabolic surgery from all over the world will weigh in on the proposed standards and input will also be welcomed from attendees of the congress. There will be open discussions followed by a vote for the proposed standards by a consensus panel.
